It's was a delight to speak to Beatrice, she is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled in her craft, and it was illuminating to see her apply her strategies and thought processes to my own artwork. I am so pleased that she offers this service to speak directly to her followers, I will definitely purchase again in the future. Thank you!
Writing and illustrating children’s books has always been my dream job, but for a long time, it felt out of reach. I often heard how oversaturated and competitive the industry is, and that belief held me back from even trying. Feeling lost in my creative purpose, I jumped at the opportunity to join Beatrice’s Picture Book Workshop - and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made for my own sense of creative fulfilment and drive.
I started the course eager to learn but feeling overwhelmed, convinced that breaking into the industry was nearly impossible. Beatrice completely changed my perspective. She demystified the industry, breaking it down in a way that made success feel not only possible but achievable. I walked away with a newfound confidence, along with clear, actionable steps to pursue my goals.
Beatrice is incredibly generous with her expertise and time. She ensures that every question is answered, she openly shares her creative process, and walks us through how she delivers her work - nothing was off-limits. The value of this course goes beyond just knowledge and resources; it also provides a supportive community of like-minded creatives who uplift and inspire each other.
Attending this workshop has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for realigning with my artistic vision and carreer goals. It has reignited my passion and given me the clarity and motivation to move forward in my creative journey. If you're on the fence about pursuing your dream job in children's book illustration, this course is a game-changer.
This intensive workshop was a big time and financial investment for me, but it was worth every single penny and every single second that I spent with Beatrice and the lovely group of students in my class. Attending each session felt like a cozy slumber party with fellow children’s book lovers.
Beatrice shared a lot of her insights and knowledge about the publishing world, writing, illustration, and everything in between. She was very mindful about answering everyone’s questions during lessons and generous in giving her input to everyone —no question was too big or too small. That kindness and openness is so invaluable, especially coming from someone whose work I’ve loved for years and who has achieved so much in her field.
I’m grateful to Beatrice for devoting so much care and time to developing this workshop. I came away from it feeling inspired to write more stories and illustrate beautiful worlds in which my characters can have their little adventures.
Beatrice is such a genuinely kind-hearted person that she was able to make a zoom call with people from all around the world feel as comfortable as if you were sitting at a café with your friends, while at the same time teaching us invaluable skills that I will cherish along my illustration journey forever.
When I signed up for this workshop, I was worried that my lack of experience and differing time zone would diminish the impact of this workshop. However, this was not the case at all! Beatrice is very skilled at teaching in a way that is accessible for all levels. She did this by recording and uploading the zoom calls right away, and tailoring this workshop uniquely to the curiosities of all the students in the class. I was amazed not only at the depth her answers covered, but also the range of topics we were able to learn about in just a short weekend. This workshop really is an intensive - the class was packed with Beatrice’s personal experiences from how to publish, tell a story with color, the structure and timeline of making a picture book, and so, so much more. I am beyond grateful to have taken this workshop and my confidence has grown significantly. Thank you Beatrice!
Beatrice changed the way I see not just my art, but myself as well. She puts so much love and energy into everything she does, which is why her books and workshops are so special. They make you see art in a whole new way.
Thanks to her, I rediscovered my passion for art. She has deep knowledge in illustration and animation—you can ask her literally anything! We did so many hands-on exercises, and Beatrice shared an incredible amount of resources.
She’s a magical person. The only downside to the workshop? It ended. I just wish it had lasted longer! 🌈 ✴️
A great experience! In fact, this workshop was not in my time zone. I am a Californian so the workshop began at 1 am, and despite this significant potential setback, I found it well worth my time, and slight sleepiness, to join for the live classes. Beatrice did accommodate for those in different timezones or different schedules by providing recordings of each class, very quickly. But I found it was very exciting to be part of the live classes and highly recommend them. I appreciate how transparent she was about all the nitty gritty aspects of being a working children’s book illustrator and what that looks like today. She also provided very actionable paths to achieving this goal in a very positive and accessible way, while also being realistic about expectations. It was inspiring and motivating. She gave the class lots of opportunities to ask questions and was very thoughtful and thorough about answering them. In addition to answering all our questions, she provided a lot of invaluable resources through pdfs, quotes, and portfolio examples. After leaving her class, I feel that much closer to writing and illustrating my own book one day!
I recently took an illustration and writing course, and it was truly inspirational. Beatrice, our amazing instructor, demonstrated incredible patience and support. My goal was to reignite my motivation, and the weekend course exceeded all my expectations. The engaging blend of techniques sparked my creativity and has left me eager to continue my artistic journey. I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to unleash their creativity! Thank you, Beatrice!
I'm so happy I got to join this workshop. Everyone was very supportive and passionate! I've learned so much from Beatrice, who explained everything with such care and kindness: from brainstorming ideas, how to develop stories, publishers and agents, and technical tips that could improve our drawing skills. I love it!

I wish i could live in this workshop, the class was amazing, it was so good to be in a place where people feel such a passion for illustration... It made me so happy, i have learned so much, from bureaucracies with publishers and agents, to what makes a good book, character and story, to what we feel regarding art and illustration and how hard it can be and how the love for the craft will save us <3 Everyone was supper helpful, with great questions, if you have a specific question i am more than sure that Beatrice will help you, i feel like her words and experience guided us in the right direction, you should totally do the workshop, i can assure you that you won't regret!
Beatrice is a ray of sunshine and a beautiful person. She taught us so much in such a short time, always with simplicity and kindness, but most of all from the heart! The support and visuals were really high quality and the workshop itself was very high quality. I loved sharing with our group and working on different little exercises. Honestly...go with your eyes closed...
I wish this workshop would never end!
Thank you very much
This is one of the best learning experiences I’ve ever had. I didn’t know what to expect but Beatrice blew me away. Not only did she break down her personal process, she was so transparent and answered every question with such care. Beatrice is so lovely and encouraged us to pursue our illustration dreams, so thank you Beatrice from the bottom of my heart!! I loved every second of it 💙
(I couldn’t recommend it enough!!)
Beatrice fosters a learning environment that feels grounded, kind, and motivational. Not to sound too cheesy, but this class broadened my horizons, deepened my desire to experiment, and reinvigorated my creative spirit - woo! All in a class that I expected to simply learn more traditional media techniques (which I learned a ton of as well 😆). The discord also functioned as a very useful tool where we all helped each other and shared what we were working on!
Beatrice is a fantastic teacher and artist who leads with passion and creativity. She inspires her students to explore and experiment with loads of colors, textures, shapes, and materials (stepping out of one's comfort zone)––all while fostering a relaxed, supportive atmosphere that makes the classes fun and fulfilling.
Bea’s way of teaching is incredible. She is an amazing teacher/person. Easy to interact. She explains step by step and encourages to ask questions. Definitely made me feel more confident in learning traditional media. It was fun to learn new materials that otherwise I wouldn’t thought of using. Very inspiring 💜 totally recommend
